1. Who we are
SELVET is a personality analysis service that helps you understand yourself better through scientifically grounded tests. The service is operated from Norway.
2. What data we collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information: Email address and name (if you log in via social media)
- Test results: Your answers to the personality tests and the calculated results
- Response patterns: How long you spend on each question. Used to measure test quality and detect careless responding — never to evaluate you as a person.
- Payment information: Handled by Stripe - we do not store card details
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and device information for troubleshooting
3. How we use the data
- Generate and store your personality results
- Let you compare results with others (only if you share)
- Improve the service based on anonymised, aggregated data
- Send important messages about your account
4. Sharing of data
We never sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Supabase: Database and authentication (EU servers)
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Vercel: Website hosting
- OpenAI: AI-generated analysis (anonymised)
- PostHog (EU): Anonymous, cookieless usage statistics. Our own SEO tool (Virtutech) reads aggregated, anonymous conversion figures from here – it receives no data directly from the website.
5. The coach feature
If you take a test via a coach link, the coach can see your results. You will be informed of this, and can withdraw access at any time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the data we hold about you
- Correct errors in the data
- Delete all your data
- Export your data

7. Cookies
We use only necessary cookies for login and session handling. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
For usage statistics we use PostHog (EU servers) in a cookieless, memory-based mode: no cookies are set, and the statistics are anonymous and measured per visit – not linked to you as a person over time.
8. Security
All data is transferred encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with modern algorithms. We follow best practice for data security.
