About the thinking style test

Here we explore how you naturally process information and make decisions. There are no “better” styles, only different ones.

The test consists of 100 statements. Among other things, it looks at whether you orient yourself toward the concrete or the possible, and whether you weigh logical consistency or human considerations most heavily when you choose.

The result is a description of a pattern of thought, not a ranking. No style is better than another, they are different, and the strength lies in knowing your own.

Note that this is not a cognitive test in the medical sense. We measure thinking style, not cognitive function or ability level.

How we handle data →

What does the test measure?

The test measures your thinking style: how you prefer to take in information and make decisions. It looks at four dimensions: where you draw your energy, what kind of information you notice, how you weigh decisions and how you relate to structure. Together they make 16 styles, and each style has a descriptive name. Your result shows how clearly you lean towards each side. It is about how you think, not how well.

What do you get?

  • Your thinking style with a descriptive name
  • Where you score on each of the four dimensions
  • The closest alternative style when the result is close
  • A comparison with well-known people and characters
  • A free result right away
  • No sign-up needed to take the test

How long does it take?

The test has 100 questions and takes about 9 minutes. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can take a break and pick up later.

Frequently asked questions

What is thinking style?

Thinking style is the way you prefer to take in information and make decisions. It is about habits and preferences, not ability.

Is this an IQ test?

No. The test measures how you think, not intelligence or cognitive function. No style is better than another.

How many styles are there?

Four dimensions with two sides each give 16 styles. Each style has a name that describes it, for example The Strategic Analyst.

What does it mean if I score in the middle of a dimension?

Then you do not lean clearly towards either side. Your result shows this, and when it is close you also see the closest alternative style.
